Switch from Gmail/O365 to SMTP forwarding

Overview

If you are currently on the Gmail/O365 connector and want to move to email forwarding to ensure your sent emails are being retained, you can follow the steps below.

Go into your Settings and locate your Gmail/O365 inbox, scroll down and ‘Remove this channel’. When you remove this channel, you’ll remove the account from Front, allowing you to add it back again, but retain all your previous history. Don't delete the inbox.

Once you’ve removed the channel, scroll back to the top and click ‘Add a channel’. Add the email account back, but as a Google Group/Email Forward and not a Gmail account. This will produce a forwarding address that you need to copy and paste into your Gmail inbox setting as a redirect.
