Product updates

🗑Permanently deleting data in Front

Here's how you can completely delete sensitive data from Front:

  • Messages and conversations: Permanently delete a single message by clicking on the 3-dots menu, or delete an entire conversation from Trash. Use carefully!
  • Contacts: First, permanently delete all conversations related to the contact, then delete the contact. It will be permanently deleted if it has no related conversations left.
  • Teammates: When you delete a teammate in Settings, their private data is saved. Ask our support team to permanently delete their private inbox, contacts, and conversations.
  • All data in your team’s account: If you’re sure you’re done using Front, ask our support team to permanently delete your team’s account data. You can also request an export of all the data in your Front account at any time.

➡️ Move a message to a new conversation

Too many topics in one thread? Now, you can move a message into a new conversation with its own assignee and tags. This feature is available now for email conversations and will launch soon for other conversation types like SMS or Front Chat.


🔍 “Control+F” for the desktop app

Search for specific text on a page in the Front desktop app, just like using “Find” on the web. Pull up the text finder by holding "Control" and "F" on Windows or "Command" and "F" on a Mac.

⚡️New integrations

Front connects with other apps to help your team get more done, without needing to switch tools. Check out the newest integrations:

  • PieSync syncs your Front contacts with 100+ other apps — no code required. Filter what's synced, add contacts to groups, or populate custom fields.
  • Instabug helps your mobile app users report bugs and feedback right from their devices. You'll get them as messages in Front, so your team can follow up with users.
  • Doorbell lets you capture feedback on your website or app through a simple button and form. Messages are sent instantly to Front, so your team can reply back directly.
