How to add images to your signature

Overview

You can customize your Front signature to include images by uploading an image from your computer, or inserting an externally hosted image (recommended method).

Note: Front only supports web image formats for signature images.

Upload an image from your computer

Step 1

Go to Settings > My signatures > Add a signature, or select an existing signature.

Step 2

Click Add image > select a file from your computer.

Step 3

Click Create or Save.

Note: if you're seeing broken images in your signature when sending messages, and you used the method above to add your image, try editing your signature and using an externally hosted image instead, by following the steps below.

Use an externally hosted image

Step 1

Go to Settings > My signatures > Add a signature, or select an existing signature.

Step 2

From visual mode:

Click the three dots at the bottom left > Insert image.

Copy/paste the image's public URL > OK.

From raw mode:

Click the Mode: Visual button to switch to Mode: Raw (Write your HTML) > Use HTML to input your image.

Step 3

Click Create or Save.

  • Would you have any further detail on this, or could you expand a little more on these steps? I added an image to my signature via 'Add Image', but it appears as a broken image on emails.

  • Brooke Hahn It looks like there's a bug when attaching inline images to signatures in Raw mode. We will work on fixing this. In the meantime, please try recreating the signature in Visual mode.

  • Thanks  Cori Morris . I deleted and then recreated my signature in Visual Mode (which is how I originally set it up). The image displays in the signature within Front, however when I send an email with it, the image is still broken for the receiver. I also tested whether images in the email body were broken but they are working fine.

  • Brooke Hahn Could you send me an email and include this signature you mention so that I can see what it looks like on my end?

  • Could you please explain what you mean by hosting an image internally?
