Adding Microsoft Exchange: What To Expect
Front lets you easily connect your Microsoft Exchange inbox and distribution groups so you can manage all of your email communications in Front. No longer worry about teammates sharing logins to the same inbox, or feeling overwhelmed by an endless stream of emails sent to your distribution group. Front makes it simple for everyone to participate in conversations when they need to, and de-prioritize the ones that aren’t relevant to them.
We understand that getting comfortable with a new tool can take some time, so we want to do everything we can to be helpful. In order to make this transition as smooth as possible, we want to show you how Front will fit into your existing workflow. Below, you can see how it all works:
We also created an easy to follow Activation Guide, complete with step-by-step instructions on how to connect your Microsoft Exchange account to Front. If you’re not an admin of your account, simply share the guide with the right person on your team.
It's important to note that with email forwarding, any email you send from Front will be handled by one of our email partners: SendGrid or Mandrill. However, we strongly recommend that you set up *custom SMTP for your inboxes so that your outgoing messages are sent through your own servers. This way you will have full control and visibility into the email journey.
*Check out our step-by-step instructions on how to set up a custom SMTP (Step 6).

As a company grows, and more people get involved in your conversations, it starts becoming extremely difficult for teams to manage all of those conversations. Below, you can see how Front solves this issue and fits nicely into your existing workflow:
