Stop processing additional rules


Rules allow you to automate actions based on a variety of conditions. For example, you can automatically move messages from VIP customers to an "Urgent" inbox, or archive notification emails that only clutter your inbox. 

In cases where you have several rules that can be applied to a single conversation, you can select the option to "Stop processing other rules" and Front's rule engine will complete the current rule and stop. Subsequent rules will be ignored, even if they apply to the conversation.

The one caveat to this is time-based rules. Time-based rules that have "unreplied after X time" or "unassigned after X time" are excluded from "Stop processing" and will be triggered at the set time, if all of the filter conditions match at that time.


Step 1

Click into Setting > Rules and build your rule as you need.

Step 2

Check off the option on the bottom to "Stop processing other rules."
