Using the integrations switcher
🎉July 2019: This feature will roll out to Front teams over the next several weeks!
One of the best parts of Front is that it integrates with your favorite tools for easy access to customer data and other apps from your inbox.
You can easily open your favorite integrations and toggle between them in the integrations switcher, which is always visible on the right side of Front.
Open and close integrations
The integrations switcher is the vertical sidebar on the right edge of your Front inbox. You will see a list of icons that represent each integration you have pinned as a favorite.
To use an integration, click on its icon to open the panel. Simply click the icon again to collapse the integration panel. You can also quickly switch between integrations by clicking on their icons while the integration panel is open.
In this example, the Calendar integration is open:
To quickly switch between integrations, use the keyboard shortcut Cmd + Shift + arrows (for Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + arrows (for Windows).
Customize your integrations switcher
You can pin your favorite integrations in the switcher so that they are visible at all times for easy access.
Click the + sign at the bottom of the sidebar
Use the pushpin icon next to each integration to pin or unpin it from the sidebar. You'll see the changes reflected immediately.
Drag the integrations to reorder them. You can use the keyboard shortcut to quickly cycle through them: Cmd + Shift + arrows (for Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + arrows (for Windows).
Add new integrations
As an admin, you can enable new integrations for your team so that they will be available to be pinned and used from the integrations switcher. You can also add integrations from Settings.
Click the + icon on the sidebar.
Scroll down to the list of all available integrations and click on any new integration you want to add
This will open a landing page with next steps for enabling the integration. You can also use the search bar at the top to search for an integration.
